Since March 8, the entire world has been riveted on the mystery of the vanished flight 370. We have seen the marshalling of search and rescue resources deployed into the big void. Our hearts have sunk with each lead that turned futile. We have seen and felt the agony of the loved ones awaiting and hoping for a miracle yet very conscious of the worst.
We have heard the opinions of a host of experts, and we grasp the limits of technology and human wisdom. We have sympathized with the local officials yet frustrated by their conflicting communication means.
We have lifted up prayers for all the participants on this intriguing drama. Our faith, hope and love give us resources to petition heaven on behalf of this situation and bring a comfort that passes all understanding.
Imagine you had the opportunity to share a word of hope with a family member, a government official, a search and rescue person. Take a moment and share a thought or a promise of 370 characters or less.
For example, I would share this promise with a family member
Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength and an ever-present help in time of trouble.”
Let us combine our efforts here and send a package of hope and comfort.
